Self Care Ritual: Orange Patisserie Pancake

It's Shrove Tuesday, which means one is divinely obliged to eat heaps of PANCAKES ❤️ I posted a variation of this fluffy Greek yogurt pancake recipe before, but thought I'd post the popular recipe again for today's Self Care Ritual.

Pancakes are such versatile things, and super easy to whip up to sate that sudden sweet craving.

These beautifying pancakes are enriched with chia seeds and Alchemy Organic Super Blends Beauty Elixir. Alchemist nutritionist Karen Newby blends together organic plant proteins and superfoods to create the wellness wonder that is Alchemy Organic Super Blends. Beauty Elixir is a potent blend of antioxidant-rich, collagen-boosting super berries and plant proteins to promote healthy skin, hair and nails. It's one of my beauty secrets.

I've gone for orange and vanilla flavours here in honour of our Orange Patisserie Warming Body Polish, which many customers say they are tempted to eat! Feel free to substitute other spices, flavouring, seeds and protein powders. Use any type of milk and flour you fancy - gluten free flours such as rice flour and buckwheat flour tend to make even softer pancakes.

2 eggs
2/3 cup Greek yogurt
1/4 cup milk (adjust to your desired thickness)
1/4 cup chia seeds
1/4 cup Alchemy Super Blends Beauty Elixir
1/2 cup flour (gluten free works too)
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp vanilla paste or 1/2 vanilla pod
Zest of 1 orange
Pinch of ginger and cardamom

1. Whisk the wet ingredients together: yogurt, milk, eggs, orange zest, vanilla paste.
2. Mix together the dry ingredients before adding to the wet stuff: seeds, flour, baking powder.
3. Drop a few dollops of pancake batter into a heated and oiled pan. Fry over medium heat for a couple of minutes per side.
4. Serve with your choice of syrup and fruit, perhaps a dollop of yogurt too!
